Core Fault Update - Bug fixes and Rebalancing
Hey everyone! Dave and I have spent the last week or so working on addressing some of the post launch issues with the game. Namely some bug fixes and rebalancing. Hopefully this should make the game more of a bug free experience and be a little bit more balanced.
Full transparency - there's been a lot of amazing suggestions from everyone and we would love to try and get to everything, but I don't want to set any wrong expectations. Currently, this is our only planned update in the near future, and we're not guaranteeing any future updates, though the door is still open for some more updates down the line (maybe near a Catalog release or something like that). There are a lot of other exciting projects that Dave and I want to individually get working on, so thank you for understanding!
With that out of the way, here is the changelog:
- Equipment unlocks now increase equipment level starting from the beginning
- Fixed bug with equipment not scaling properly
- Fixed bug with core count not showing correctly when loading into new level
- Rebalanced beam and subterranean rocket to be a bit stronger
- Made “health” and “restoration” upgrades take effect immediately after selection
- Changed descriptions in Unlock screen to be more clear about what is actually being unlocked
- Fixed bug where restoration was not working properly, and was instead being applied to the piercing stat
- Added varying hitstun to different equipment attacks
- Added histun upgrade that increases hitstun dealt
- Reduced player hitbox significantly to match perspective
- Fixed bug with attack speed stacking between runs
- Fixed bug with upgrades stacking between runs
- “Unlock” renamed to “Workshop”
- Lowered SFX Volumes
- Changed balance to lower number of enemies at later levels to improve performance
- Fixed crash caused by projectile sometimes not being initialized properly

Nice! Have you submitted to Catalog and any idea on possible timelines there?
No timeline, but it's been submitted.
