Dude I totally feel the same, but for some reason PICO-8 has only set controls and it's set to ESDF... Anyways, thanks for playing!
no, player 1 controls are arrows, esdf is for player 2! (as shown by the controller info when you click the controller icon)
change your calls to btn to remove the 1 param and this will be fixed.

(also fyi someone uploaded your game to the lexaloffle bbs — which is nice for people using splore but maybe not something you want to allow)
Oh lol that makes sense... And thanks for letting me know about the upload to bbs. Yeah I don't really care - in fact I think it's nice that it's accessible using splore now.
